“VIDA MARIA” is an animation short film produced with resources from the edital “3o. PREMIO CEARA DE CINEMA E VIDEO”, realized by the STATE GOVERNMENT OF CEARA, in Brazil, where it got maximum score and was awarded in the FICTION-ANIMATION-FILM catergory. “Vida Maria” made a great tour through film festivals and finished 2007 as the most awarded brazilian short film.
Created with 3D Computer Graphics, rendered in HDTV format, original soundtrack, dolby 5.1 and finished in 35mm, this short-film shows characters and places modelled with textures and colours researched and captured from the Sertão Cearense, in the northeast of Brazil, creating a realistic and humanized atmosphere. At the age of 5, Maria Jose has to drop out school to help the family in the small farm. While she works, she grows up, gets married , gets children, gets older.
